Who should attend
The course is for individuals who are designated to lead, manage, facilitate or support clinical governance in a healthcare setting. Individuals appointed to carry out quality improvement, patient safety, quality assurance, clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk assessment and management, patient experience or complaints handling will benefit from participation in the course.
What you learn
If you’ve been designated to lead or manage or to integrate clinical governance functions, our course helps you evaluate and lead your organization’s or your service’s strategic, structural, systems, cultural and technical support for governance and assurance functions.
The course includes several practical approaches and tools and techniques for implementing each component of governance.
Each course participant receives a copy of a 642–page 15–chapter Clinical Governance Manual that includes the background of each governance component and current evidence-based guidance for carrying out each component. Practical tools and reference materials are also included.
A certificate of participation is provided on completion of the course. The course is Certified as conforming to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements in the UK by The CPD Certification Service.
